Welcome to The TEFL Drop. TEFL lessons that don’t suck.

I’m Thomas Plaskitt, a UK-based ESL teacher, trainer and content creator (but not the Tiktok type). I’ve taught all ages, levels, and contexts in my 16-year ESL career, and I built these materials because I was tired of fixing lessons that should have worked in the first place. Everything here is classroom-tested, teacher-friendly, and designed to get students talking fast.

If you’re fed up with dry coursebooks, recycled worksheets, and boring grammar activities, this is for you. The TEFL Drop exists to make classes more communicative, more relevant, and way more enjoyable — for you and your students. I focus on role plays, discussions, debates, dialogues. Language in context (with rules of course to help students).

Using the materials is simple. Download the PDFs, print and cut up the handouts and use them in class — no reordering, or rewriting needed (unless you want to). Each pack includes real-world scenarios, natural dialogues, warmers that actually warm people up, and roleplays that don’t die after two minutes. You’ll find General and Business English, for teens and adults, with new lessons added regularly.
